Social Sector & Non-Profits

Developing people for work that matters

Herk Consulting designs leadership and capability development programmes that help people lead well, work effectively with others and stay connected to the outcomes their work is meant to achieve.

Social service and non-profit organisations depend heavily on people and relationships. Staff may need to support service users, manage teams, work with funders, collaborate with partners and navigate the expectations of different stakeholders, often at the same time.

Resilience for frontline professionals

Frontline and service professionals often work in emotionally demanding environments. They may be supporting people in difficult circumstances, handling competing needs, responding to unexpected situations and managing their own reactions at the same time.

Resilience is not simply about pushing through. It is about building practical ways to recognise what is happening, regulate responses, recover after difficult moments and stay effective in the work.

Steady & Strong at Work

A practical resilience programme for frontline professionals, with tools for managing reactions under pressure, distinguishing control from influence, reflecting on difficult situations and supporting one another appropriately.

Outcomes & social impact

Mission-driven organisations can become very busy delivering programmes and services. Outcomes thinking creates space to ask what is actually changing because of the work.
